THE CAPITAL ROOTS ACADEMY
WHY DA VINCI?

Long before modern science labs, engineering textbooks, or flight simulators, Leonardo da Vinci was asking questions.
How do birds fly?
How can bridges support greater weight?
How do gears transfer force?
How does the human body move?
Leonardo filled his notebooks with sketches, observations, experiments, inventions, and questions. He studied art, engineering, anatomy, architecture, physics, and nature because he saw connections between subjects that others often treated separately.
What fascinates us most is not that Leonardo knew all the answers.
It is that he never stopped exploring.
THE CONNECTION TO CAPITAL ROOTSThat same spirit helped inspire The Capital Roots Academy.
The goal is not simply to teach science.
The goal is not simply to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The goal is to help participants become curious, adaptable, creative problem-solvers who learn by asking questions, testing ideas, making adjustments, and trying again.
Leonardo’s workshop is a reminder that learning is not just about memorizing facts.
It is about exploration.
It is about discovery.
It is about seeing connections where others see separate subjects.
More than 500 years later, those lessons still matter.
Leverage. Logic. Learning.
